Concrete Imaging Ground Penetrating Radar
Concrete Imaging Ground Penetrating Radar (CIGPR) is a high frequency surface penetrating radar. High frequency radar reveals greater resolution detail but lacks deep penetration. Depending on the frequency, CIGPR can achieve depths within concrete of up to 9-12″ under ideal conditions. This imaging technology can be used to scan concrete prior to saw-cutting or core-drilling for damage avoidance.
For forensic purposes, CIGPR can detect air voids within or beneath concrete and provide accurate density information. This technology has replaced construction X-ray in many applications.
