Qualifications and Certifications

GHD is a certified “Trainer” of Staking University’s (SU) comprehensive underground utility locating certificate program. This allows us to train and qualify others as competent locate technicians as defined by SU’s curriculum. All GHD field technicians are SU certified. Additional equipment certification includes: MALA GeoScience “GPR Theory & Operation of X3M Systems,” Radiodetection Corp. “Underground Cable, Pipe and Fault Locating”.

All GHD employees are trained and certified in Loss Prevention Systems (LPS), API Work Safe, OSHA HAZWOPER-24, OSHA 10hr General Construction, First Aid, CPR, Smith-System Defensive Driver & Fatigue Management Training. All employees have been screened and cleared as defined by the “Jessica Lunsford Act.” Key personnel have the following: OSHA Confined Space Entry, FDOT MOT Workzone Traffic Control Intermediate level.

Organization membership includes: Sunshine State One Call of Florida, Underground Utility Leak & Locators Association (UULLA), Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE), Common Ground Alliance (CGA) and National Utility Locating Contractors Association (NULCA).
