Ground Penetrating Radar

GPR also known as Surface Penetrating Radar is a non-destructive imaging technology and has become a standard in utility locating due to its ability to resolve nonmetallic objects such as: PVC, asbestos concrete, poly pipes, etc. Lower frequencies achieve greater depths at the sacrifice of very clear images. Higher frequencies achieve higher resolution images at the sacrifice of depth (see Concrete Imaging Radar (CIGPR)). GPR is also useful in identifying large buried structures, foundations, debris fields and ground disturbances.
